The Cheyenne Summer Festival takes place in Ste.Agathe each summer during the month of July. The festival offers entertainment for the whole family with music, fireworks, ball tournament, horseshoe tournament, activities for kids, pioneer games and more.
The Cheyenne Summer Festival owes its name to the Cheyenne, a steam boat that crossed the Red River and sank in Ste. Agathe on June 2nd, 1885. The boat’s boiler that had been thrown overboard, was discovered 100 years later and remains in Ste. Agathe.
