St. Joseph\u2019s location in a region known for its bean production has earned it the moniker of \u201cbean town\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all. St. Joseph also has\u00a0<strong>Manitoba\u2019s largest wind farm<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a sign of modern times in a community that is still devoted to keeping its history alive.<\/p>\n<p>You can marvel at the enormous wind turbines and visit the\u00a0<strong>St. Joseph Museum<\/strong>\u00a0to learn more about the way of life of the region\u2019s pioneers over a century ago.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss the<strong>\u00a0&#8220;Festival Patrimoine Montcalm&#8221; heritage festival<\/strong>, held in St. Joseph every June. The program includes a parade, a barbecue, children\u2019s activities and a one-of-a-kind grain-bag-filling contest.
